Inspired by the transition of Summer into Autumn, Naqiyah conceptualised an outdoor tablescape that paired the texture of paper flowers and ceramics with a palette celebrating the warmth of the seasons.
Participants at the first niQi Living Luxe Living the Lifestyle workshop this year were also shown how simple and inexpensive paper decor could transform a table into a truly special gathering place.
Miniature picnic basket favours and artificial grass table runners created a picnic-like feel while the paper flowers mimicked the texture of soft autumn leaves gathered in generous bowls.

Naqiyah’s indoor evening tablescape showcased the easy elegance of an uncomplicated purple and black palette.
A decorative birdcage was repurposed to house a floral arrangement, while paper cones holding single blooms lent a special charm to the place settings.

With her always impeccable delivery, Rowena Saloojee demonstrated how to achieve an effortless natural and radiant look. She also showed us how versatile an infinity scarf could be; taking it from a stylish hijab to a flowy top with grecian lines.

A natural, yet polished, look

Lila Bultel, an accomplished cooking instructor specialising in French and Algerian meals, is an ardent believer in eating well and keeping artificial preservatives out of one’s diet. She showed attendees how to make the most mouth-warming salted butter caramel and a gorgeously rich pecan nut fudge.

Lila’s macarons were a winning addition to the High Tea table and were scoffed in a matter of minutes!

Most of our High Tea treats were graciously provided by Rizi’s Bakery Boutique. Rizi wowed us with Cafe Latte mousse and sublime mocktail desserts. She also brought along showstopping rose cupcakes made by Cheryl Carey, a gold-medal awarded chocolatier and confectioner.

Saturday was a bit of a scorcher and our attendees found respite in Savour the Flavour’s fruity cocktail mixes and concentrates.
