Not only do the niQi Living Luxe Living The Lifestyle Workshops and High Teas provide a welcoming space for women who want to channel their creative selves, they also provide an opportunity for us to interact with brands and personalities who align with the niQi Living Luxe vision of creating beauty everyday.
One such meeting of minds is with Leeyas Boutique with whom we’ll have the pleasure of working with at our next Living The Lifestyle workshop on April 7th.
Leeyas, an established fashion-forward boutique based in Fordsburg will be clothing some of the models in the fashion-styling segment presented by Nazmira Saloojee.
We asked Ruwayda of Leeyas Boutique to tell us the Leeyas story and the concept behind the store.
“Beauty they say is in the eye of the beholder. Its an audible notion ,proven true by a million love stories, but in the ruthless world of fashion , it’s not that simple. Like shoes and jewelry, style goes in and out of fashion. At Leeyas Boutique we spy at style, knowing that trends come and go, and, more often then not, swing back round again. So at Leeyas we opt for a more classic refined approach,” she says.
Ruwayda started the business from home 14 years ago, and with a big leap of faith, opened Leeyas boutique in 2004. “I named it after my only daughter Leeyah. I found inspiration behind her ability to put an outfit together at such a young age.”
“What makes us different from other boutiques is at Leeyas we don’t pay attention to brand names. Fashion knows no boundaries but at Leeya’s we try to conform to our community’s modest style. We take dominance over bold, adaptable must-haves which are affordable without significantly punishing your credit cards,” Ruwayda says.
A typical Leeyas look captures youthful innocence under a sheen of sophistication.
They’ve recently moved stores and can now be found at 72 Central Road, Fordsburg, Johannesburg.
